Privacy Policy

When you create an account on AlbionForge, we collect the following information:

• Account information — your email address, display name, and profile picture as provided through our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in via Discord or Google, we receive your public profile information from those services.
• Game preferences — your preferred Albion Online server region, home city, premium status, and in-game username (entered voluntarily).
• Trade and activity data — trade logs, watchlists, saved builds, price alerts, and portfolio data that you create within the platform.
• Usage data — basic analytics about which pages you visit and features you use, collected to improve the service.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number.

AlbionForge never collects or requests:

• Your Albion Online game credentials (username/password). We never ask for your game login and have no ability to access your game account.
• Any data from your game client. We only use publicly available APIs provided by Sandbox Interactive and community data projects.
• Personally identifiable financial information. Stripe handles all payment processing.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• Database — user data is stored in Turso (LibSQL), an edge-distributed database with encryption at rest. Data is replicated globally for fast access.
• Authentication — account credentials and sessions are managed by Clerk, an industry-leading authentication provider with SOC 2 Type II certification.
• Caching — temporary market data is cached using Upstash Redis (encrypted, SOC 2 compliant). Cached data expires automatically and does not contain personally identifiable information.
• Hosting — the application is hosted on Vercel, which provides enterprise-grade security, DDoS protection, and SSL encryption for all connections.

AlbionForge uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it processes data:

• Clerk — authentication and user management. Privacy Policy
• Stripe — subscription payments and billing. Privacy Policy
• Resend — transactional email delivery for price alerts and account notifications. Privacy Policy
• Vercel — application hosting and edge network. Privacy Policy
• Upstash — Redis caching for API response data. Privacy Policy
• Anthropic — AI-powered advisor feature (Pro tier). Queries sent to the AI advisor include your game preferences and relevant market data but never your personal account credentials. Privacy Policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Period.

Your data is only shared with the third-party service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating AlbionForge. We do not share your trade logs, watchlists, builds, or any user-generated content with anyone.

AlbionForge uses minimal cookies, strictly for functional purposes:

• Authentication session cookie — managed by Clerk to keep you signed in. This is essential for the service to function.
• Stripe session cookie — used during the checkout process only.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics cookies that follow you across the web.

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains intact. You do not lose trade history, watchlists, or saved builds by downgrading — you only lose access to premium features. If you upgrade again, everything is still there.

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@albionforge.org and we will permanently delete all your data within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@albionforge.org. We will respond within 30 days.

AlbionForge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@albionforge.org and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the application. Your continued use of AlbionForge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
